The University of Texas and Uncurriculum

August 31, 2009

World Magazine is featuring a great article about the liberal bias at the University of Texas in ending a program and removing a professor who “taught a positive view of America’s founding,” among other sins, like the fact that he was a Christian. One of the most interesting parts is Marvin Olasky’s use of the term “Uncurriculum” which he claims is driving the liberal arts education at most Colleges and Universities. The Uncurriculum is a cloak of postmodernism designed to cover up a lack of interest on the part of University professors from actually teaching anything while they instead work on their reputation, publications and prestige, all at the cost of liberal arts and undergraduates.

Here is the article.
